First Day of Hawaii trip 2015
Well we left Las Vegas on 8 March 2015 on Hawaiian Airlines. Maile (grandma) and I did ok but the flight was very bad. We had so much turburence that people on the plane got air sickness and Maile(grandma) was very scared to the point when she saw the wings moving. We landed in Honolulu at 100 pm. We checked into the Halo Koa Hotel. This is a military hotel with twin towers. Maile (grandma) was very happy when we got our room because the tower we stayed in is called the Maile Tower. Tomorrow we go to the Luau.

Our 2015 trip to Hawaii. The last time we took a vacation was in 2010. We hope this trip will be great even with the restrictions that we may encounter due to the liver transplant of avoiding large crowds. I will try to post for the grandkids each day of our visit. We will be staying at the Halo Koa Hotel. this is a 72 arce site that is part of the army's post DeRussy next to the Hilton hotel. It is own by the Department of Defense for the military to stay when visiting Hawaii.

Hoover Dam Bridge
It is hard to even describe this bridge, Even taking pictures does not give the bridge the respect as the most spectacular site. When you cross the bridge you don't even know that you were on the bridge. The last pic is the Arizona spillway. I have never seen Lake Meade this low in water. I have been in Las Vegas since 1971.
Grand Canyon
We took a trip to the Grand Canyon this last weekend. It was a nice day, not to cold and very sunny. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Due to a lot of construction they had some of the sites closed to take pic's. Had many more pic's but too many to list.

Last leg of trip
Well we are so close to Santaquin I can smell Maile's (grandma) garden. I hope everyone has enjoyed the pic's we took, they are just a small portion. I took over 550 pictures and most likely deleted another 400. Our next adventure will take place in middle of Sept. We will be flying to Alaska for a week. I hope to caught a hop out of Nellis AFB to SEATAC then caught a hop to Fairbanks (military space available) .

Working our way back to Santaquin
We finally got a picture of Virginia
James Madison 4th President
This is the real home as was in 1754 when the middle part was built the two ends was later
Ken-tucl country was Daniel Boone's home
West Virginia's Capitol
We had taken Ill. before but the next state is Indiana
The gateway Arch in St Louis
Closer view of the Arch. it was late or we would visited the center
Maile (grandma) had never seen how barges move up and down the Missouri River
Kansas City Royal Baseball games being played as we drove by in Kansas City
Well kids we left Washington and it was hot. We went to James Madison's home in Virginia. This was the 4th President and most don't even know but he wrote the United States Constitution in his home. We went into the actual room that he wrote the constitution and it was great. We toured the grounds but they would not let us take pictures in the house. After we left there we made our way thru West Virginia. Maile (grandma) took a picture of the capitol building of West Virginia. Look closely at the picture and go back to U.S. Capitol building. We have included some pictures of the states we have gone thru to return to Utah. We are staying tonight in Wilson, Kansas.
