Hoover Dam Bridge

It is hard to even describe this bridge, Even taking pictures does not give the bridge the respect as the most spectacular site. When you cross the bridge you don't even know that you were on the bridge. The last pic is the Arizona spillway. I have never seen Lake Meade this low in water. I have been in Las Vegas since 1971.

Grand Canyon

We took a trip to the Grand Canyon this last weekend. It was a nice day, not to cold and very sunny. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Due to a lot of construction they had some of the sites closed to take pic's. Had many more pic's but too many to list.

Well we are so close to Santaquin I can smell Maile's (grandma) garden. I hope everyone has enjoyed the pic's we took, they are just a small portion. I took over 550 pictures and most likely deleted another 400. Our next adventure will take place in middle of Sept. We will be flying to Alaska for a week. I hope to caught a hop out of Nellis AFB to SEATAC then caught a hop to Fairbanks (military space available) .

Well kids we left Washington and it was hot. We went to James Madison's home in Virginia. This was the 4th President and most don't even know but he wrote the United States Constitution in his home. We went into the actual room that he wrote the constitution and it was great. We toured the grounds but they would not let us take pictures in the house. After we left there we made our way thru West Virginia. Maile (grandma) took a picture of the capitol building of West Virginia. Look closely at the picture and go back to U.S. Capitol building.  We have included some pictures of the states we have gone thru to return to Utah. We are staying tonight in Wilson, Kansas.

Our buddy at our campsite. There is about 4 deer that you can just about walk up and pet them

We spent 4 days just 30 miles south of Washington DC. We spent the time at Quantico  Marine base here in Virginia. We spent the time over looking a lake with many deer coming to our area. Now for the visit we came here for was Washington DC . It was hot and very humid. We did get to visit many of the site and I took many pictures but I will show only the top site in DC. Yes I got misplaced in my driving. They have totally changed this area since 2001. They have many of the streets just black off with no traffic. But I hope you enjoy the pictures. Maile (grandma) hopes that you kids enjoy the post cards that she has mailed to you from here in DC. We also went to Arlington National Cemetery where 260,000 service members are buried. The military men that you see is of the Unknown Soldier Tomb where the Army guards the tombs. Hope you enjoy all the pictures I took over 100 pictures of DC area.
